Year 5-8 Classes – Science/Maths Inquiry
A chance to take part in a long term study of water quality in our environment and the effects of agriculture, horticulture and industry. The Calgary Science School undertakes this unit in Grade 6 (Year 7) using probes to gather information on water quality in local wetlands. This year we plan to extend this into a project to which schools in various parts of the world can contribute information about their local areas and take part in discussions around conservation. More information on this project will follow here shortly but please enter expressions of interest for term 4 2010 or throughout 2011 on the next page.

Possible focus questions include:
  • How good is that water we drink?
